The characters investigate a strange phenomenon at the request of a village’s residents, who offer a reward of 100 Battens. Villagers disappear into the wasteland and return with altered personalities, devoting themselves to cultivating an unfamiliar plant. Following the missing villagers leads to an abandoned farmstead and a hidden entrance to a private bunker beneath its cellar.
