Death & Taxes
Schleswig struggles with a demon infestation, a shortage of silver caused by the king’s taxes, and an economic standstill brought on by mandatory daily festivals. The city contains 24 locations, including the Ministry of Wealth & Taxes, the ruined Office of the Holy Inquisition, the cursed Heptaliths, and the City Bone Mill. Players pursue quests, collect taxes, hunt souls for devils, and infiltrate the Cult of the Golden Tongue. Souls can be sold for bread, omens, or other benefits, but doing so increases the risk of demonic possession. The game also adds two classes, new monsters, and an encounter randomizer for tax collectors and festivals.
