Designing Sci-Fi Scenarios

A mission-generation system for science-fiction role-playing games helps referees prepare scenarios when players need a different adventure. Playing cards and cross-referenced tables determine the who, what, when, where, and why of a scenario, along with patrons, objectives, adversaries, motives, finances, rivals, and unexpected plot twists. Guidelines cover adventure hooks, travel, dramatic encounters, climaxes, epilogues, and downtime events. The system is written for the Era Ten setting but can be adapted to other science-fiction campaigns.
