Desperation of the Hungry

Famine grips the region around Stennard, where hungry townsfolk have grown tired of subsisting on mashed typha root and cranberries. When the Constable and Protectorate refuse to intervene, Allor Onehanded gathers a volatile gang to seize the well-fed dogs kept by Ohlnicks Muttwrangler. This DCC RPG-compatible introductory encounter centers on the Muttwrangler House at the edge of town. It is designed for 8–12 zero-level characters or 4–6 first-level characters and takes approximately 1.5–2 hours to complete. The encounter can also be placed in another village or town with a house beside a stream.
