A headless rider stalks the battlefield, harvesting fear to strengthen each assault. Players manage dice and abilities to inflict Terror on opponents, generate Dread tokens, and trigger effects tied to the rider’s Haunted Head. Combat centers on rolling specialty dice, using rerolls and card-driven powers to build momentum. Dread tokens and Grim Pursuit abilities grant extra rolls and increase damage as the rider closes in, while opponents suffer penalties and ongoing terror effects. Play emphasizes pressure and escalation: converting inflicted fear into mechanical advantages that accelerate the rider’s offensive tempo and punish those who remain within range.
