The adventurers are hired by the merchant Stoerrebrandt to travel to Kurkum, the remote palace of Yppolita, queen of the Amazons. The journey leads into the domain of a mysterious and dangerous people, where the queen’s beauty and power are matched by their hostility toward outsiders. What appears to be a straightforward assignment soon proves more perilous than expected.
