Errol, Rhea och DELTA MAX är på väg över Vättaträsket till Pirit när de dras in i en härva av intriger och plötslig död. Vid invigningen av en ny kanal möts kejserliga tjänstemän, arbetare och teknikfientliga demonstranter, medan fem monstruösa grävrobotar förbereds för arbete. Äventyret följer hjältarna från De 7 Mutanterna genom ett science fiction-mysterium med politiska motsättningar, robotar och våldsamma händelser.
