This air-combat game brings the Down in Flames system to the jet age, with missile combat and range rules. Modern engagements use a one-hit, one-kill combat model, creating a different experience from earlier versions. Players conduct air-combat missions across campaigns spanning the 1970s to the present day, escorting strike aircraft to their targets. The streamlined card-driven system supports fast play and includes aircraft such as the Harrier, F-4 Phantom, F-14 Tomcat, F-15 Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon, F-22 Raptor, MiG-29 Fulcrum, Su-27 Flanker, and Mirage 2000.
