Rules questions

Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.

Do my Orbitals count as ships?

An Orbital with your Population Cube is considered your ship and uses its own blueprint, but it cannot receive Drive Ship Part tiles. An Exiles Orbital controlled by another species is not a ship and has no blueprint (p. 1).

What happens if one of my Exiles Orbitals is destroyed in battle?

Return its Population Cube to the Science or Money Graveyard, but leave the Orbital miniature in place. Each of your destroyed Orbitals also adds 1 to your opponent’s Reputation Tile draw, up to a maximum of 5 (p. 1).

Can the Exiles build Starbases, and do Orbitals score points?

The Exiles cannot construct Starbases. Each Orbital with one of your Population Cubes is worth 1 VP at the end of the game (p. 1).

How do the Rho Indi Syndicate’s Trade Values work?

For every 3 Materials or 3 Science they pay, they gain 1 resource of another kind; for every 3 Money they pay, they gain 2 Materials or 2 Science (p. 2).

Do the Rho Indi get anything when they draw Reputation Tiles?

After drawing Reputation Tiles, they gain Money equal to the number of tiles drawn minus 1 (p. 2).

Can the Rho Indi build Dreadnoughts, and do they lose points for holding the Traitor Card?

They cannot construct Dreadnoughts, and they do not lose VP for holding the Traitor Card at the end of the game (p. 2).
