Epic Chess
A fantasy expansion of chess that adds dice, cards, mana tokens, spells, and treasure chests to the traditional board. Each piece has a combat die and three special abilities, while different units perform distinct roles, such as digging up treasure, healing allies, or striking across the field. Players spend or trade mana to activate abilities, cast spells, and upgrade pieces with weapons, armor, potions, and accessories. Victory follows traditional chess principles, but the opposing king must be defeated in combat; check and checkmate provide bonuses toward that defeat.
