The player characters are servants recruited to help Marquis Anton Aumarais prepare for a grand ball. When the celebration turns into a night of misery, pain, and death, they investigate the nearby swamps to find the cause. Their search leads to a reclusive backwoods community and a dangerous secret that may challenge even experienced adventurers. This short adventure is designed for 2D6 science fiction roleplaying games, including Cepheus Engine and OSR-style systems.
