Emperor Alexius now seeks to restore peace across the Known Worlds, calling on nobles, priests, guilders, and other factions to explore and rebuild a fractured civilization. The book details the setting’s history, societies, and astro-geography, and introduces its major peoples and powers, including aliens, psychics, cyborgs, and the various human institutions shaping life among the stars.
