Rival alchemists, changing events, and powerful elemental forms shape your journey. In this solo game, resolve Encounters in the Outlands and Forge to gain Shards and Essences, face difficult choices, and suffer damage. Trade Essences and spend your wealth on Upgrades, including Artifacts, Companions, and Forms that strengthen your abilities and help you confront the Rival. As the clock advances, the Rival gains Forms or deals damage. Survive each confrontation, spend Shards to strike back, and defeat the Rival before their remaining actions run out.
