2009 · Core Rules (min needed to play)
Fiasco
Players create and play out cinematic, small-time capers that spiral into disaster. The group builds a shared setup by choosing a playset (a time and place), establishing interlinked Relationships and Details with six-sided dice, and defining characters whose ambitions and poor decisions drive the story. The GM-less game proceeds through player-driven scenes in which characters pursue plans, make risky choices, and escalate conflicts. Outcomes are determined during scene play and a later resolution phase, producing messy endings of betrayal, violence, and regrets. Sessions run in a single sitting with no preparation required.
