Fifth Corps: The Soviet Breakthrough at Fulda
Simulates an early World War III fight in the Fulda Gap where Soviet forces push into West Germany and NATO seeks to contain or blunt the breakthrough. Players command company-, battalion-, and regiment-level units on a 4 km/hex map that includes Frankfurt, Mainz and key airbases. Gameplay uses Operations Points and Friction Points, variable-length turns, and Zones of Control to model command constraints and movement uncertainty. Rules cover airpower, airmobile operations, and nuclear/chemical options. Three scenarios range from a short raid through a regional battle to a full campaign with sequential commitments of larger formations.
