In the World of Balance, the Gestahlian Empire uses Magitek and magically empowered soldiers to expand its rule across the planet. Independent nations and the resistance group known as the Returners struggle to oppose it as the Empire searches for greater magical power. Arriving shortly before the Raid on Narshe, players choose their role and use 1000 CP to shape their involvement in the conflict. Their actions take place as tensions rise toward another war that may determine the fate of the world.
