An improvisational fantasy scenario set around a mouldering pit, where a sodden stair descends into a rancid sump beneath a ruined capstone. The framework provides core ideas, key numbers, and general procedures for adapting the location to a wider setting or preferred game system. It includes on-the-fly map generation and suggestions for the pit’s occupants, structure, transformative slumber, surviving builder, and accelerated decay.
