Freezing Inferno
A 1 or 2 player operational-level hex-and-counter wargame covering the USSR–Finland conflict of 1939–1940 during World War II. One player controls Finland and the other the USSR, with a solo mode also included. Players maneuver units, resolve battles, and manage strategy and diplomacy under harsh winter conditions. Variable setup and random cards create changing effects from game to game. The USSR wins by occupying and holding 2 of Finland’s 3 key cities while controlling at least 5 of its 7 home cities by the end of the eighth round; otherwise, Finland wins. Plays in 3 to 6 hours.
