Players explore the secret laboratories beneath Samuel Andrew Matthews’s skyscraper as he prepares Project Dies Irae, a plan to eliminate the metahumans and heroes of Empire City. The setting presents Matthews’s research, experiments, and encounters with his unusual companion Montgomery, whose exposure to spilled chemical samples has produced unexpected results. The game focuses on investigating the facility, uncovering Matthews’s plans, and confronting the threats created by his experiments.
