Patrick Aylewood has been shot dead, and the evidence appears to point clearly to the father of his former fiancée. When the young woman doubts the official version, she hires the detectives to uncover the truth. The investigation leads to Liddesdale on the border between England and Scotland, a remote region shaped by industry, romantic legends, and a long history of conflict. Players search for clues and question guarded locals while exploring the secrets—both real and imagined—that still haunt the area.
