It explores the genre’s themes, character types, and historical setting through a monthly timeline covering politics, war, science, entertainment, crime, and the wider Champions Universe. Players can create period heroes using archetypes, templates, Skills, Talents, and Perks. The book also includes heroes and villains from around the world, era-appropriate weapons, vehicles, and equipment, and guidance for running long-term campaigns in the setting.
