Great War at Sea: 1904-1905, The Russo-Japanese War
This naval wargame covers the Russo-Japanese War of 1904–1905, from Japan’s surprise attack on the Russian Pacific Fleet at Port Arthur to the Battle of Tsushima. Nineteen scenarios depict major situations in the conflict, alongside a campaign game covering the entire naval war. Players move fleets across a strategic map divided into sea zones, attempting to locate opposing forces. When fleets meet, play shifts to a tactical map for ship maneuver and combat, with special overlays representing Port Arthur and Chemulpo. Japanese armored cruisers and torpedo boats face a mixed Russian fleet of modern battleships and older ironclads.
