Here Be Dragons (HERO)
A HERO System bestiary based on medieval European accounts of the distant lands beyond Europe. It presents more than 40 fantastical and mundane animals, beasts, and monsters, described according to period beliefs rather than standard fantasy conventions. The book also covers the medieval view of the world, the history of the bestiary, and folklore surrounding domestic and wild animals. It includes distinctive creatures such as Grendel, the Lambton Worm, and the Shaggy Beast, with notes for adapting many entries to different genres and settings.
