Hivers III (Traveller)
A planet suffering from global famine awaits a massive food convoy, but the convoy is attacked and destroyed before reaching its destination. One crippled freighter survives, carrying thousands of tons of urgently needed protein powder, and is recovered by a team of off-world spacers. As the vessel breaks apart while being brought to the orbital station, the crew must deal with the rescue operation and uncover whether pirates or aliens were responsible for the attack.
