Huang Shuzhen, a young woman from Taiwan, has run a modest antique shop in Hong Kong for many years and is well integrated into the local community. After refusing to pay protection money demanded by a local triad, she is coldly murdered as a warning to other merchants. The investigation follows the circumstances of her death and the forces behind it.
