If At First
A one-round adventure for 8th-level characters in which the party investigates the kidnapping of Stormreach residents by zombie gnolls. Their search leads to an ancient giant laboratory, where a half-giant and a mind flayer are using Khyber shards to power an eldritch machine that drains souls, creates undead creatures, and stores the souls within the shards. The characters must find the captives, uncover the laboratory’s secrets, and stop plans to build an undead army.
