A supplement for superhero and similar genres, this provides 25 explanations for how a villain—or occasionally a hero—survives an apparently fatal defeat. Results include hidden abilities, disguises, artificial bodies, and other revelations that may require retconning earlier events or altering the character’s nature and powers. Each entry presents a survival concept that can be used to bring a supposedly defeated character back into the story.
