Zawame City is a sprawling metropolis developed and controlled by the Yggdrasil Corporation. Its youth form dance gangs called Beat Riders, competing for stage dominance while escaping the pressures of daily life and corporate control. A new pastime, the Invess Game, lets participants summon strange creatures with Lockseeds. What begins as a popular hobby soon reveals dangers beyond an ordinary competition.
