From the introduction: It happened in 2034. The Anathème struck the world violently, and its darkness invaded entire regions, drowning cities, countries, and even continents... out of obscurity emerged atrocities that took away innocent people, murdered whole families, and spread horror. Despair and terror have replaced humanity and - little by little - the world has lost its colors, its artists, and its will to exist.
