La Bataille de Lützen

A historical simulation of the first major battle of Napoleon’s 1813 German campaign. Prussian and Russian forces launch a surprise attack against the French army, which must consolidate scattered formations and hold until reinforcements arrive. The Allied player must exploit the initial advantage and defeat the French before Napoleon can bring his strength to bear. Each turn represents 20 minutes, with 100 meters covered by each hex. The game includes rules for command, movement, combat, and other features of Napoleonic warfare, and supports multiplayer or solitaire play. The set contains two maps, more than 1,000 die-cut counters, organizational displays, charts, tables, and historical commentary.
