This supplement explores forbidden magical practices and the mages who pursue them outside the laws of the Consilium and the orders. It details Apostates, Heretics, and other Awakened outcasts, along with the dangerous obsessions of mages whose Wisdom has failed. The book also presents the Tremere liches and their efforts to summon the Sixth Watchtower by reaping souls, as well as the history, beliefs, society, and powers of the Scelesti, who worship the Abyss. It provides character-focused material for portraying mages who risk ostracism, madness, and damnation in pursuit of hidden power.
