Lifelike

A collection of essays, stories, and interviews exploring live-action role-playing as a creative and cultural practice. The book is divided into five chapters covering the relationships between participants, roles, and characters; interaction and game design; the people who create and take part in larp; applications beyond gaming; and perspectives from outside the larp community. Contributions come from researchers, artists, game designers, and other practitioners, combining academic discussion with creative accounts. The book is published in conjunction with the Knudepunkt 2007 conference.
