Ligretto

1988 · Card Game

Ligretto

Players each handle a personal deck of numbered, colored cards and set up a small row, a ten-card face-up pile, and a facedown hand pile at the start of a round. All players play simultaneously to build shared ascending color piles in the center by playing 1–10 sequences; players may also cycle through their hand by revealing cards in groups and use those top cards for play. The round ends when any player empties their ten-card pile. Scoring awards points for cards a player contributed to the center and penalizes cards left in that ten-card pile; sessions typically repeat until a target score is reached.
