Rules questions

Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.

How do I block a Psychic Attack—does regular Block still work?

Psychic Block is the only efficient Block; every other type of Block is inefficient and is reduced by half. Psychic Block can only be used against Psychic Attacks, though Influence can be spent as Psychic Block against different Psychic Attacks. (Rulebook, p. 8)

Can I use my Units while I’m inside a ziggurat or pyramid?

No. For the entire action of entering the site, you cannot use Units either for their abilities or to assign damage. You encounter a trap on each floor, then choose whether to fight and leave or ascend; healing can be used before combat, but only Wounds added during combat count toward being knocked out. (Rulebook, pp. 8–9)

What do I do with the two tokens when I reveal a possessed enemy?

Place the indicated circular enemy token on top of the possessed enemy token; together they form the enemy, and the possessed token can modify its values or add a Psychic Attack. Defeating it also earns you the specified Faction token. (Rulebook, p. 7)

Can I attack the Apocalypse Dragon’s Control head, and when do head levels go down?

You can’t attack the Control head; its level always matches the highest level of the other heads. Mark levels reduced by successful attacks during combat, then lower the head’s level marker after combat ends; defeating the other four heads also defeats the Control head. (Rulebook, pp. 10–11)

If an enemy has multiple attacks, can I block them all with one Block?

No. Handle each attack separately, one at a time, in any order; you can’t combine them and block them with a single Block. The enemy is successfully blocked only if all of its attacks are blocked. (Rulebook, p. 20)
