Mai-Star

2010 · Card Game

Mai-Star

Players portray geisha competing over three festival nights to win a legendary title. The game uses character cards that serve two roles: boost a player’s popularity or be attracted as paying guests of varying value. Each turn players choose which character cards to play to raise their reputation or to lure guests, balancing short-term income against long-term fame. Rounds end when a player depletes their hand; leftover cards count as negative points, so managing hand size is important. After three rounds, the player who has earned the most money from guests wins.
