2019 · Memory
Maiko
Set in Japan during the Meiji Era, this memory game follows young maiko training in an okiya, or geisha house, through the traditional arts of dance, music, and kimono wearing. Players reveal tiles to find matching pairs representing nine geisha arts. Tiles in a player’s color add points, while tiles in other colors reduce the score. Kamon tokens provide prestige and allow players to call on four tutors, each with a different ability. The player with the most points completes her training and begins her geisha career.
