Manavores
A bestiary of 16 strange monsters for Shadowdark and other old-school roleplaying games. These creatures originate in places rich with magical or extraplanar energy and consume or absorb magic, converting it into physical, magical, or undead effects. The collection includes charm-wielding cats, spell-hunting hounds, curse-bearing rats, hypnotic oozes, living spells, magic-draining swarms, quasi-real entities, and gastropods that expel consumed magic in pure form. The creatures add extra rules and complexity to encounters and campaigns.
