A near-future urban science-fiction setting for Basic Dungeons & Dragons, set in Manhattan after nuclear destruction, ecological disasters, terrorism, biological weapons, and the collapse of cheap oil. The former New York City has become a penal colony governed by “tough justice,” where criminals, convicts, gangs, and psychopaths struggle to survive. Players portray people navigating this dangerous city, with the focus on crime, conflict, and survival rather than magic or fantasy monsters. A Basic Dungeons & Dragons boxed set is recommended but not required.
