Middle Creek: Folio Series No. 6

A simulation of the 1862 Battle of Middle Creek in eastern Kentucky, where Confederate forces under Humphrey Marshall clash with Union troops commanded by James A. Garfield. Players control divisional forces represented by infantry and cavalry companies and artillery sections. The game uses reciprocal player segments rather than separate movement and fire phases. Units can move, fire, assault, or rally, while defensive fire makes advancing toward enemy positions hazardous. Rules cover formations, skirmishers, cover, volleys, leaders, morale, regimental flags, cavalry, and artillery. The system supports solitaire and multiplayer play.
