Moonlight: Episode 1 – The Hostage

A roll-and-write game set in a comic noir universe. Players take the role of a hard-boiled detective searching Midnight City for a kidnapped partner before time runs out. Each turn uses one day from the calendar to roll six dice and perform investigation, hustling, or searching actions. Players collect clue sets to improve their skills and eliminate map quadrants. To pay escalating ransoms, they carry out heists using their developed skills, then manipulate the evidence to frame the kidnapper. The game ends in victory by paying the ransom, finding the hostage, or securing enough incriminating evidence before the police catch on.
