Motte
A stream marks the boundary between two increasingly hostile realms. Players oversee the construction of small fortifications along the former natural border, raising earthen mottes from excavated soil and crowning them with watchtowers and wooden palisades. Moats fed by the stream, narrow bridges, slippery stairs, and concealed stakes provide the defenses for each simple border fort.
