Mr. Mephisto's Marvellous Menagerie
The characters awaken in a burning inn and help extinguish the fire before setting out on a quest through a nearby swamp. They seek a replacement for one of the menagerie owner's star exhibits, facing monsters and other dangers along the way. After returning with the creature, they discover that the story does not end happily.
