Mudbones
Amid the blood and flame at the end of an empire, a slain god’s temple, holy fount, and sacred valley are buried beneath hardened mud and stone. Centuries later, a forest and wheat fields grow over the floodplain, where a new people settle and their thoughts awaken a fragment of the dead god. Beneath the fertile ground, an ancient curse and a hidden malevolence still linger within the buried temple.
