Nations at War: White Star Rising
Platoon-level World War II combat using the Nations at War ruleset. Players command formations of platoons—tanks, infantry, and support weapons—organized under headquarters; formations activate by drawn chits, and better-led formations can activate multiple times while turns can end abruptly when end-turn chits appear. Combat uses pooled dice: attacking platoons roll dice equal to their firepower to score hits, and defenders roll against armor and terrain to negate hits; successive hits disrupt, reduce, or eliminate units. Rules cover close assaults, transport, air support, artillery, bunkers, mines, overruns, and a variety of support weapons, all presented in a concise rules package.
