Nippon: Genro

A major expansion that adds a new layer of interaction to the base game. It introduces five persistent “Genro” cards, each imposing a global constraint or penalty that alters priorities and reshapes familiar strategies. Players select two Genro each game, creating different combinations that change tempo and tension and encourage new decision paths within the existing production→delivery engine. The cards integrate with the core mechanics rather than replace them, increasing strategic depth and complexity while offering configurable setups to tailor play sessions. The expansion uses collective, fictionalized state actors as thematic drivers rather than portrayals of specific historical individuals.
