No Motherland Without: North Korea in Crisis and Cold War

A two-player card-driven strategy game that dramatizes the Cold War and contemporary tensions on the Korean Peninsula from 1953 to the present. One player controls the DPRK government, allocating resources to develop a nuclear deterrent, manage economy and food distribution to prevent unrest, and conduct purges and internal security to suppress coups. The opposing player represents Western powers, supporting defectors and intelligence operations, imposing sanctions, and taking actions to slow or disrupt the missile and nuclear programs. Play resolves through card events, resource management and contested operations as both sides pursue long-term strategic objectives while reacting to crises and historical pressures.
