A tabletop roleplaying game set in Mad City, a nightmarish world inhabited by strange and dangerous denizens. Players portray Awaken who struggle to stay conscious while confronting nightmares, madness, and the forces that pursue them. This edition adds two neighborhoods, an alternative character-creation method for Awaken who begin with lost memories and damaged sanity in a disturbing institution, and a procedure for quickly creating pick-up games with an opening situation, common Nightmare enemy, and ready-to-play characters. It also includes revised and original color illustrations.
