A great storm tears a shining leaf from the Spirit Tree in the land of Nibel. Carried far away by the wind, the leaf is found by Naru, a kindly being of darkness, and transforms into a Spirit Guardian—a creature of light and untapped power. Naru adopts the guardian, beginning its journey through Nibel.
