Players cultivate a network of influential patrons to advance their trading enterprises in Ancient Rome. On each turn they choose which notable figures to court, invite to banquets, and use to gain introductions or investment opportunities. Players track trade route conditions and rival movements, weighing which patrons offer the most advantageous connections. The relationships formed and favors called in become the foundation for expanding a business and securing resources.
