This setting explores the early history of Pyre, when the red shard is an isolated land at the bottom of the world and the children of Khar-Ulan have yet to make contact with the other Folk. Rich deposits of ore and metal shape Pyroi culture, while their resistance to flame allows them to create remarkable metalworks and other technological wonders.
